The VRUi troffer is engineered for environments where unauthorized access and physical abuse are concerns such as correctional facilities, psychiatric centers, and public transit hubs. Its impact-resistant construction includes precision die-formed housing and TIG-welded corners, secured with TORX® tamper-resistant fasteners. Multiple lens options, including polycarbonate up to 0.500” thick, are sealed with a continuous retention system and supported by stainless steel aircraft cables, enhancing both safety and durability. The fixture is IP65 rated for wet locations and UL listed for insulated ceilings, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Lighting performance is equally robust. The VRUi series offers LED options in 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K color temperatures, with lumen packages ranging from 3,500 to 24,000 lumens depending on size and configuration. High-efficiency drivers deliver L80 performance beyond 50,000 hours, with low THD (<10%) and standard 0–10V dimming. Emergency lighting battery packs and night light options are available, including cold-weather and self-testing variants. The fixture’s finish includes a 5-stage pretreatment and polyester powder coating for added corrosion resistance.

Customization is a key differentiator. The VRUi is available in multiple sizes (1x4, 2x2, 2x4) and gauges of cold rolled or stainless steel, with brushed or painted finishes. It supports various mounting styles, including swing brackets and T-bar grids (1”, 1.5”, and optional 2”).
