ENGINEERING
Visioneering's engineering and design department operates with leading edge CAD/CAM and solid modeling systems. Networked CNC machinery is programmed off-line with the capability for immediate engineering changes, allowing a "paperless shop floor". All designs are current and on-line with the ability to interface with customers' systems. The engineering department is also able to design for special approvals; or design, develop and produce custom packaging. The latest in solid modeling, parametric CAD software integrated with our CAM package allows the design, manufacture, assembly and refinement of parts and assemblies without the need to cut steel. Using these systems, Visioneering can create families of parts, so similar products with different features can be easily developed.
CROSS FUNCTIONAL
Engineering staff are experienced in design and manufacturing. Our specialized team approach simplifies designs while refining them for manufacturing and assembly. These cross-functional teams approach design with these objectives: reduction of manufacturing and assembly costs, improved functionality, ease of installation and ease of field serviceability. The best and most recent technologies are used to maximize illumination properties and provide the best performance for the dollar. Because our teams work with all materials and suppliers, they are able to recommend to the customer the most appropriate designs and materials, often using standard components that are easily available.
LABORATORY
Our state-of-the-art electrical & optical laboratory provides our engineers with the necessary characteristics to ensure our products function as efficiently as possible. Our lab features a rotating luminaire goniophotometer for measuring total lumen output and generating accurate IES files. Our electrical testing provides total harmonic distortion, power factor, input power and more. All of this assists us in qualifying for DLC, CSA, UL, and other certifications.

CNC MACHINERY
Our state-of-the-art CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Press Brakes, Turret Punch Presses and Laser Cutting Systems utilize the latest advances in manufacturing technology that enable us to maximize productivity and flexibility. The laser technology allows for high cutting speeds and the flexibility to process a wide range of materials resulting in Process Range Expansion (P.R.E.). Their advanced motion and innovative beam delivery systems are engineered to raise productivity, increase cut quality, and reduce operating costs. Our manufacturing systems provide unmatched performance and superior reliability.
AUTOMATED PAINT LINE
Our state-of-the-art Powder Coating Finishing Line enables us to utilize special finishes and colors. Powder coating provides an attractive finish with excellent resistance to impact, heat, abrasion, and corrosion. Our painting process is environmentally sensitive and reduces water consumption while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Our paint line supports quick color changeovers on the fly and continuous productivity. The 5-stage stainless steel wash system provides pristine components while the Vulcan Infrared technology quickly cures, reducing cycle time.
WAREHOUSE
Visioneering has the reputation in the lighting industry of being able to "turn on a dime" for our customers, based on our ability to achieve time-sensitive deliveries. Our reputation comes from an innovative manufacturing process integrated with a large, planned inventory. This process begins in the warehouse, where the order flows immediately after entry. In this "Pull Through" system, our extensive finished products inventory is scanned to determine if the order can be picked and shipped either in whole or part depending upon the customer's needs. For items not in the finished product inventory, warehouse personnel scan the components for available parts and subassemblies. These items are picked and sent to assembly lines.
Components not available are quickly scheduled for manufacture in our state-of-the-art metal working shop and sent to assembly. Assembled products are quality inspected, packaged, and sent to the shipping department for order consolidation. Our logistics group efficiently arranges to meet customer delivery needs at the lowest cost possible.

ASSEMBLY
Our workers are trained to work up and downstream and are cross trained on all our 8 lines. Two lines are reserved for custom products, allowing the production of high volumes and small custom requests simultaneously. With a steady flow of components from our material handlers, our assembly lines experience little downtime and can produce non-stock goods just in time.
SHIPPING
Visioneering has a complete in-house multi-stage shipping facility that is fully integrated with our ERP System. Our "Pull Through" scheduling system allows shipment from finished products inventory in minimal times, or schedules product assembly and components manufacturing immediately. Production lead times quickly translate to shipping schedules.
LIGHTING SHOWROOM
Our state-of-the-art 3,000 sq ft showroom can host more than 200 occupants and demonstrates the latest LED luminaires from Cleanroom and Medical to Commercial and more. For your individual tours or lunch & learns, please contact your local agent or regional rep to book a time to visit our automated factory in Toronto.
