ENGINEERING
The engineering and design teams at Visioneering and Certolux utilize advanced CAD/CAM platforms and fully integrated solid‑modeling systems to streamline product development. Our networked CNC equipment is programmed offline, enabling rapid adjustments and supporting a fully digital, paperless workflow. This infrastructure keeps all design files current, accessible, and compatible with customer‑side systems.
Our engineering capabilities also include support for specialized approvals, as well as the design and development of custom packaging suited to unique project requirements. By leveraging parametric CAD tools tied directly to our CAM processes, we can model, refine, and prototype complete assemblies without traditional tooling, allowing families of products with variant features to be created efficiently.
CROSS‑FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE
Our engineering teams combine design knowledge with deep manufacturing experience, enabling a streamlined, collaborative approach to luminaire development. This cross‑functional model ensures products are optimized for performance, cost efficiency, simplified installation, and long‑term serviceability.
Working with a broad range of materials and supplier networks, our teams recommend the most effective solutions, often using readily available standard components while applying the latest optical and electrical technologies to deliver high‑value lighting performance.
LABORATORY
Our advanced electrical and optical laboratory allows for precise product evaluation and verification. The facility includes a high‑accuracy goniophotometer to measure total lumen output and generate IES files, along with equipment for electrical testing such as power factor, total harmonic distortion, and input power analysis. These capabilities support qualification for industry certifications such as DLC, CSA, UL, and other regulatory approvals.
MANUFACTURING
Our engineering and manufacturing teams work closely to refine designs for cost‑effective production, improved functionality, and enhanced ease of installation and service.
With integrated parametric CAD and CAM platforms, we can develop, assemble, and optimize parts and product families without cutting steel, accelerating development timelines. This approach enables rapid customization, consistent quality, and efficient scaling from one product variation to the next.
CNC MACHINERY
Our facility features advanced CNC systems including press brakes, turret punch presses, and laser cutting technology that enhance productivity, precision, and flexibility. High‑speed laser processing supports a broad range of materials, expanding our manufacturing capabilities while improving cut quality and reducing operating costs. These systems deliver consistent performance, reliable throughput, and superior fabrication accuracy.
AUTOMATED PAINT LINE
Our powder‑coating finishing line offers highly durable, environmentally responsible surface treatments with a wide selection of custom colors and textures. The system delivers excellent resistance to impact, abrasion, corrosion, and heat.
A 5‑stage stainless‑steel wash ensures optimal surface preparation, while infrared curing technology reduces cycle times and supports continuous production with quick color changeovers. This process minimizes water usage and helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
WAREHOUSE
Our operational model is built to support rapid, time‑sensitive delivery across North America. A well‑planned inventory system and robust finished‑goods storage ensure orders flow immediately into fulfillment.
Using a pull‑through process, our teams evaluate whether products can ship directly from inventory or require assembly. Components and subassemblies are scanned, picked, and routed to production lines when needed, while unavailable parts are quickly scheduled for fabrication in our metalworking shop.
Once assembled, luminaires undergo quality inspection, packaging, and final consolidation by our logistics team to meet customer delivery timelines efficiently.
ASSEMBLY
Our production teams are cross‑trained across eight assembly lines, enabling flexible scheduling and balanced throughput. Two of these lines are dedicated to custom products, ensuring we can support both high‑volume demand and specialized, small‑batch orders simultaneously.
Continuous flow from our material‑handling teams reduces downtime and supports just‑in‑time production for non‑stock items.
SHIPPING
Our in‑house, multi‑stage shipping department works seamlessly with our ERP system to coordinate fast, accurate delivery. The pull‑through scheduling model ensures that orders either ship from available inventory or move immediately into manufacturing and assembly.
Production lead times translate directly into shipping schedules, enabling consistent, reliable delivery performance.
LIGHTING SHOWROOM
Our 3,000 sq. ft. showroom offers a hands‑on experience of the latest LED luminaires from Visioneering and Certolux, including solutions for cleanroom, medical, commercial, and specialty environments. The space accommodates more than 200 guests and is designed for demonstrations, training, and project discussions.
